Custom Domains

By default, your aliases use your E4ward subdomain — something like yourname.e4ward.com. If you own your own domain, you can use it instead.

For example, if you own example.com, your aliases could look like:

shopping@example.com newsletter@example.com x7rkf3jdj@example.com

Custom domains are available on the Standard and Pro plans. Free accounts cannot use custom domains.

Setting up a custom domain

Step 1 — Update your MX records

Log in to your domain registrar (wherever you bought your domain) and set your MX records to point to E4ward's mail servers:

relay1.e4ward.com priority 10 relay2.e4ward.com priority 10

Use these hostnames exactly — not IP addresses. Your mail will be distributed across E4ward's servers automatically.

MX record changes can take a few hours to propagate, so there may be a short delay before mail starts arriving.

Step 2 — Add the domain to your E4ward account

Go to the Domains page in your E4ward account and add your domain. Once it's verified, you can create aliases using it.

How many domains can I use?

The number of custom domains depends on your plan. See Plans and pricing for details.
