Inbox Addresses

Your inbox address (also called your real email address, or REA) is the existing email account where E4ward delivers your forwarded mail. This is your Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, or any other mailbox you already have.

E4ward does not give you a new inbox. It forwards mail to the one you already use.

Adding an inbox address

Go to the Addresses page and enter the email address you want to add. E4ward will send a confirmation email to that address. Click the link in the confirmation email to verify it.

Only confirmed addresses can receive forwarded mail.

Confirming your address

After you add an address, check your inbox for a confirmation email from E4ward. Click the link inside to confirm.

If you don't see it:

  1. Check your spam folder — confirmation emails occasionally end up there
  2. Make sure you typed the address correctly
  3. Some providers may delay or filter the confirmation — try adding E4ward to your contacts or whitelist

If you're still having trouble, contact us.

Multiple inbox addresses

You can add more than one inbox address and route different aliases to different inboxes. For example, you might forward newsletter aliases to one address and shopping aliases to another.

The number of inbox addresses you can add depends on your plan. See Plans and pricing for details.

Changing your forwarding address

You can add a new address, confirm it, and then update your forwards to use it. You can also set a new address as your primary and remove the old one.

Your real address stays private

E4ward never reveals your inbox address to senders. All forwarded mail passes through E4ward's servers, which rewrite the sender path so your real address is not exposed.
